'Lebanon' an oustanding debut for director Moaz

Think the great German WW2 drama 'Das Boot', set aboard a U-Boat, and you get the picture, this time one set inside a tank during the opening day of the 1982 war in the Lebanon.

This is a fine, gritty, harrowing story of the tank crew, young and frightened men thrown into a conflict they do not understand and do not want to be part of.

They are simply thrown together in a world of horror and terror, death and destruction, stench and sweat.

Moaz has captured the full sweep of emotion in what is an outstanding feature debut and has been richly rewarded by a fine cast.
