Sexy pair sign up for Channel 4 drama
Kim Cattrall and Gillian Anderson have signed up to new Channel 4 drama series ‘Any Human Heart’.
The ‘Sex and the City’ actress and ‘The X Files’ star will appear in the four-part adaption of the William Boyd novel – which is a fictional journal spanning the life of imaginary writer Logan Mountstuart.
Gillian will portray the Duchess of Windsor, while Kim will play Logan’s glamorous lover Gloria.
The women will be joined in the show by Jim Broadbent, Matthew Macfadyen and Sam Claflin who will each play the novelist during different stages of the writer’s life.
Channel 4’s head of drama, Camilla Campbell, said: "Jim, Matthew and Sam lead a phenomenal ensemble cast. Playing Logan in the different stages of our hero's life, they will brilliantly encapsulate the significant, and the wonderfully insignificant moments that we can all relate to. With such a talented range of British actors on board, this is sure to be an unmissable television event.”
Scottish author William is delighted such big stars will be depicting his characters.
He told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "I am both thrilled and exhilarated at the prospect of these three sensational actors taking on the role of Logan Mountstuart as we follow him through the 20th century on the emotional, dramatic and rackety journey that is his long and tumultuous life."
