Spice Girl may join 'X Factor' judges
Mel B has hinted she may become an ‘X Factor’ judge.
The former Spice Girls singer admitted to meeting with show boss Simon Cowell, but said she couldn’t discuss rumours she is to join the show’s judging panel.
About the stories suggesting she will join the show, she said: “That’s funny! Who knows what’s going to happen? We’ll see.
“That’s something I can’t talk about.”
Simon has previously said he wants to expand the judging panel – which presently features himself, Dannii Minogue, Cheryl Cole and Louis Walsh – for this year’s show.
Mel – real name Melanie Brown - added: “I think the show’s great. I’ve seen Simon a few times. I think he’s an amazing businessman.
“And I’ve met Cheryl a few times. She’s a really lovely lady.”
Rumours are that Simon is to expand the judging panel on the show to include a different celebrity guest judge each week, which he did on counterpart US show ‘American Idol’ after judge Paula Abdul left the show.
One of the guest judges on the show was Mel’s ex-Spice Girls bandmate Victoria Beckham.
Simon has previously said he would like to get singer Robbie Williams to appear as a judge on the show.
He said: “I tell you who'd make a good judge - Robbie Williams. He's fun, he's got good instincts and he doesn't take himself too seriously."
