Neeson 'still struggling'

Liam Neeson is "taking each day as it comes" as he grieves for his wife.

The 'Taken' actor says he and his sons Micheal, 14, and Daniel, 12, are still struggling to cope with the sudden death of Natasha Richardson in March.

The 57-year-old star said: "We're doing good. We are still getting extraordinary condolence letters from American people. That's deeply, deeply touching."

The outpouring of sympathy from the US public has even inspired the Ballymena-born star to become an American citizen, more than 20 years after he moved to the country.

He explained to US TV show ‘Good Morning America’: "That is partly the reason that I have recently become an American citizen. I was born in Northern Ireland but America has been very, very good to me.

"I am still a proud Irishman, but I have become an American citizen, and am very proud of that."

The interview was the first time Neeson has spoken in public since Richardson died of a brain injury after a skiing accident.
