The Killers lead singer disappointed by album sales
Brandon Flowers is still upset The Killers third studio album did not perform as well as he thought it should.
Although âDay and Ageâ has sold 2.5 million copies worldwide the âMr Brightsideâ rocker wasnât entirely happy with the sales figures, especially when compared to the seven million their debut âHot Fussâ achieved.
He said: âHow much does it bother me? I think about it every day. Iâve thought about it today. Iâve already talked about it today with my press officer.â
The groupâs second album, âSamâs Townâ, achieved worldwide sales of 4.6 million and also won a BRIT Award for Best International Album.
Brandon also admits the bandâs songs can sound âcontrivedâ and too âperfectâ.
He said: âIf you look at us and you hear it, itâs almost too good to be true. We have good songs, it sounds perfect, it sounds contrived, but it wasnât.â
