Carr and Collins to fly solo
Alan Carr and Justin Lee Collins have quit ‘The Sunday Night Project’ to concentrate on solo ventures.
The hosts – who have fronted the programme, previously called ‘The Friday Night Project’, for three years –called time on the show because of their ties to other chat shows.
A source said: “Alan and Justin have loved the ‘Sunday Night Project’, but the time has come to go their separate ways.
“Alan was the first to say he didn’t want to do it any more – he’s moving on to bigger things.”
Producers of the entertainment talk show are considering hiring new hosts for the programme.
A Princess Productions source told Britain’s The Sun newspaper: “It’s one of a number of options we’re looking at, but for the time being the show will be off air.”
Alan – who has a £3m (€3.47m) two-year contract with Channel 4 – is to film 20 more episodes of his talk show ‘Chatty Man’ later this year, while Justin will film another series of his ITV2 chat show and is said to be in talks with Sky One about other projects.
