Irish contestant regrets appearance on 'The Apprentice'

Lorraine Tighe says appearing on 'The Apprentice' ruined her family’s reputation.

The Irish contestant – who came fourth on the business reality TV programme in Britain – says she regrets taking part in the show, which saw her repeatedly clash with other contestants and ridiculed over her appearance.

She said: “My family never signed up for a reality television show. They live in a small town in Ireland and from their point of view it has ruined their reputation.

“If I had my time again, there is no way I would do it. The whole experience has been a very tough lesson for me to learn.”

The single mother-of-two has urged people considering applying for the show – headed by tough business mogul Alan Sugar - to think twice about the consequences.

She added to the Lancashire Evening Post newspaper: “I just hope anyone thinking of taking on ‘The Apprentice’ next year thinks about it properly. I was the cannon fodder this year and I’m sure next year there will be someone just like me.”
