Spector lawyer seeks reduced jail sentence

A lawyer for music producer Phil Spector said he maintained he did not kill actress Lana Clarkson and was not responsible for her death, according to a court document.

But lawyer Doron Weinberg wrote in a memorandum to the sentencing judge, however, that Spector’s prison sentence on a second-degree murder conviction should be 18 years to life in prison.
