'The Girl Cut in Two' stylish and well-observed
Director: Claud Chabrol
Cast: Ludwine Sagnier, Benoit Maginel, Francois Berleand
A weather-girl faces the dilemma of who to fall in love with in this charming romance with an edge.
Will it be the older wealthy author (Berleand) – whom she really loves – or the rich, shallow younger one (Maginel)?
She picks the latter which turns out to be a disaster since he’s jealous of her other suitor.
It’s a French film so there’s lots of style and wit and keen observation.
