Braff heading back to 'Scrubs'

Actor Zach Braff is heading back to TV comedy 'Scrubs' - just months after announcing his decision to quit the hit show.

The 34-year-old actor starred as Dr John 'JD' Dorian since the show's inception in 2001, but announced earlier this year that he was leaving at the end of the eighth season to pursue a career in directing.

But he has now decided to head back to the ward for six episodes in the forthcoming series to wrap up several storylines and hand over to a new cast line-up.
