Cruise swears off politics

Tom Cruise will never trade his life as a Hollywood superstar for a career in politics - because he wouldn't be very good at it.

The star insists he will never follow in the footsteps of celebrity pal Arnold Schwarzenegger, who quit acting to become governor of California, because he is better qualified to make movies than to pass laws.

He told the New York Daily News: "I’m an actor, not a politician. Acting is what I’m good at, what I’ve been trained to do. I’d never do politics. I think I have the better job!”
