It's a strong, funny and action-packed prequel to the highly successful 'X-Men' series that delivers full entertainment on a number of levels.

Here, director Hood pitches the film at just the right level, combining the spectacular with a deep level of observation and insight into the characters so that fans of the films get to know more about our hero and about Sabertooth, no mean feat when considering the number of characters introduced throughout the series.

It’s one of the best of the Spring releases, not quite a runaway blockbuster but a highly satisfying film that stands alone and will certainly delight enthusiasts.
