'Waveriders' a terrific Irish film

A gloriously filmed celebration of riding the foaming breakers on Ireland’s West Coast, ‘Waveriders’ is a spectacular and engrossing film documentary that is by far the most entertaining of the week’s offerings.

Conroy meets up with some of the great ones from the sport, including the iconic Molloy brothers and nine-times world champion Slater to find out what makes them challenge the waves.

The film collected a major award at the Dublin Film Festival and fully deserved it. Even if your enjoyment of a seaside visit doesn’t extend beyond building sand castles, this terrific film will delight you.
