Kanye to voice character in 'Family Guy' spin-off

Kanye West will voice a character in an episode of 'Family Guy' spin-off 'The Cleveland Show'.

People reports that Kanye will voice a rapper called Kenny West in the new animated series, which is set to air in 2010.

'Family Guy' creator Seth MacFarlane is developing the spin-off, which revolves around Cleveland Brown, the Griffin family’s slow-talking neighbour. It is set to air in the US this autumn.

The rapper did a table read for the character last week.

“It was surprising to us that he was so into it, that he came to the table [read], and wonderfully surprising how cool he was, how funny he was and how unassuming he was,” said Mike Henry, who voices Cleveland. “He’s just a great presence.”
