Nothing special in 'The International'

No surprises here in discovering that large, worldwide financial institutions are more likely than not to be crooked and involved in the murky world of international arms dealing.

Enter Interpol agent Owens to investigate just such a case, teaming up with Manhattan DA Watts in a slick, if not entirely convincing thriller that is very much of today.

At least the major players make the flagging plotline seem better than it is, but it’s hardly more than a half-decent TVM or straight-to-video disappointment.
