Mystery surgery for Arquette

Actor David Arquette has an unsightly new look - he was left with a black eye after undergoing a mystery operation.

The 'Scream' star, who is married to former 'Friends' actress Courteney Cox, has had surgery to his head but refused to confirm any further details.

The procedure left him with heavy bruising around one eye - but the actor denied rumours he has had cosmetic surgery to his nose.

He said: "I had a little surgery. I had something they had to remove. I should have gotten a nose job! I did find out that I have a deviated septum, so I guess if I did get a nose job, I'd have an excuse."
