Oscar host backs Ledger for win

This year’s Oscar host Hugh Jackman says he hopes Heath Ledger wins the Best Supporting Actor gong for his role in 'The Dark Knight'.

“I can’t hide the fact that I would really love for that honour to be bestowed upon him,” the Aussie actor said. “It would be fitting and I think he deserves it.”

Hugh also revealed he consulted a past Academy Awards front man for tips on how to host the show, which goes out on Sunday, February 22, from the Nokia Theatre in Hollywood.
