Morrissey rules out Smiths reunion

Morrissey has put an end to one of the longest-running rumours in pop - he will never reform The Smiths.

The cult band split in 1987, and fans have speculated ever since the break-up that the frontman would one day reunite with guitarist Johnny Marr for a one-off concert or world tour.
