Madonna relations with Ritchie 'better then ever'
Madonna and Guy Ritchie are "getting along better than ever" since their divorce, thanks to an impassioned plea from the singer's daughter Lourdes, according to reports.
The couple announced their split in October last year following months of rumours about the state of their marriage.
The superstar filed for divorce citing Ritchie's "unreasonable behaviour" and was granted a preliminary split on November 21, 2008.
Lourdes, the singer's daughter from a previous relationship, lives with her mother but the former couple have yet to work out custody arrangements of their two children, Rocco, eight, and adopted three-year-old David Banda.
Relations between the pair were said to be strained following the break-up and the tensions took their toll on Lourdes, who is reported to have asked her mother to make more of an effort to get along with her former husband.
A source told the New York Daily News: “Madonna and Guy aren’t reconciling. They’re working very hard to have an amicable divorce, because (Madonna’s daughter) came to them begging: ‘Please don’t be mean to each other’."
