Cruise lost for words on Jett death

Tom Cruise struggled to find words to express his sadness at the death of pal John Tavolta's teenage son Jett, during an interview on US TV.

During an taped chat for 'The View', due to air today, a very sombre Cruise paid tribute to fellow Scientologists Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston, dubbing them "wonderful" parents.

Cruise said: "It's horrific. Both of them are doting parents. Wonderful people. I remember Jett when he was born, and John just adored him. Both of his children. And Kelly too," before he tailed off with, "I don't have the words for it."
