Brolin upset about Crowe comments

Josh Brolin has publicly apologised for comments he made about Russell Crowe at the New York Film Critics Awards on Monday night.

The actor has blamed his alcohol intake and the "ambiance" of the prizegiving for what he said to the Big Apple's film experts. Brolin took the stage at the glitzy dinner after award winner and 'Milk'

co-star Sean Penn poked fun at him, and decided to lash out at Crowe - his American Gangster co-star, stating: "Quite the actor, that Sean Penn. He's not an a**hole like Russell Crowe."

And Brolin now admits he's ashamed of his behaviour at the awards dinner. He tells HollyScoop.com: "It was the ambiance of the room. I love him (Crowe). I think he's amazing. He's a friend. I was bummed out when I saw that."
