State to fund research on AI voice 'companion' for the elderly

The Government is funding the development of an AI voice “companion” that can check up on the elderly in their homes.

The €100,000 from Enterprise Ireland will be used by Amethyst Care to develop its device that is being designed to help older adults stay independent for longer.
