Simpson could be out after nine years

OJ Simpson could serve just nine years behind bars after he was sentenced to prison time on armed robbery and kidnapping charges in Las Vegas on Friday.

The former football icon-turned-actor was sentenced to at least 15 years in prison for his part in a sports memorabilia heist at the Palace Station Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas last year.

But he will be eligible for parole after nine years, according to updated reports.

Alternatively, the 61-year-old could serve a maximum of 33 years. He is planning to appeal his 10-charge conviction.
