Cowell to give ex Seymour £5.6m parting gift

Simon Cowell has given his ex-girlfriend a split gift, worth a whopping £5.6m (€6.9m), according to US reports.

A pal close to both Cowell and his ex Terri Seymour tells Life & Style magazine the British svengali has signed off on his six-year romance with a sweet parting cash handover.

The American Idol judge has reportedly given Seymour £3.1m (€3.8m) in cash and an extra £2.5m (€3m) to buy a home in Beverly Hills.

The source says: "Terri phoned Simon about six weeks ago and finished it. Simon thinks the world of Terri, and that isn't going to change. He also understands her reason for ending it."

Reports suggest Seymour, 34, wanted to marry and start a family, while Cowell was totally against the idea.

He recently said: "I don't want to marry anyone, because whoever marries me will end up hating me."
