Lopez sold baby pictures to 'set them up'
Jennifer Lopez has stashed away most of the $6m (€4.5m) she was paid for an exclusive photoshoot with her twin babies Max and Emme - because she wants to "set them up" in life.
The singer/actress and her salsa singer husband Marc Anthony sold the rights to their first family shoot to America's People magazine in March - a month after the tots were born.
But Lopez admits she opposed the idea for some time before finally relenting to the floods of offers.
She tells The Daily Beast website: "I think one of the reasons that the price went so high is that we didn't want to do it for so long... We weren't into it. I was like, 'No, I don't really want to. No. No way.'
"But then it got to the point that you go, 'Well, now you're being stupid with these offers'... I thought I can set them up. I can put this away just for them. We gave a little bit (away to charity) and I saved the rest for them."
And Lopez - who came ninth in a recent Forbes poll of the richest females in showbusiness - has defended her decision to accept the big-money deal, insisting: "I wouldn't believe everything I read."
