Nixon attacks Hollywood's 'double standards'

Cynthia Nixon has opened up about Hollywood’s double standards.

Newsweek has chosen the 42-year-old, famous for playing 'Sex And The City' character Miranda, in its Women Leadership issue as one of the strongest women in the world.

“I feel like there is a complete double standard about the age at which men and women are considered attractive on screen,” she wrote in the magazine.

“But that’s what wonderful about being a New York stage actor. If you can remember your lines, there will be roles for you.”

Nixon also revealed she aims to continue acting.

“I plan to die on stage,” she said.
