Opera singer Bernadette Greevy dies

Irish opera singer Bernadette Greevy has died following a short illness.

She died on Friday but it was only announced this afternoon.

The 68-year-old mezzo-soprano was the founder of the Anna Livia International Opera Festival. Her career spanned 40 years.

Dr. Greevy was buried today following a quiet family funeral in Dublin.
