Organisers of Winehouse's scrapped gig offer discount
Organisers of a French music festival are offering disappointed fans discounts for further events, after Amy Winehouse pulled her appearance at the last minute.
Winehouse was due to headline the three-day Rock En Seine festival in Paris last week in a line up that also included fellow British singer Kate Nash.
But she cancelled the appearance after being taken ill at her Camden, London home just hours before she was due to fly to France.
And fuming festival bosses have threatened to take legal action against the troubled star, insisting they were left without a headline act and without any explanation for the snub.
Now, organisers have offered the people who were set to see Winehouse live the opportunity to pick up discounted tickets for next year's event.
The tickets for the Rock en Seine 2009 gig will be sold at half the usual price.
It was announced earlier this week that organisers of UK festival Bestival on the Isle of Wight have been forced to organise a back-up plan in case Winehouse, who is slated to appear at the event, cancels at the last minute again.
