Abbey play 'Terminus' wins award in Edinburgh
The Abbey Theatre and playwright Mark O’Rowe have scooped a prestigious award at the Edinburgh Festival in Scotland.
The theatre has won the Scotsman Fringe First award for the play 'Terminus', the story of a serial killer who has made a pact with the devil in modern-day Dublin.
The Arts Council, which is the main funder of the Abbey Theatre, has described the win as another example of the achievement of Irish theatre and playwrights.
The Council says the award for 'Terminus' underscores the calibre of Irish theatre and the high esteem in which it is held at home and abroad.
