MacLachlan is a dad

'Twin Peaks' star Kyle MacLachlan has become a first-time dad at 49.

The actor's wife Desiree Gruber has given birth to a baby boy.

Callum Lyon MacLachlan was born on Friday in Los Angeles, weighing 3.8 kilograms (eight pounds and six ounces).

MacLachlan and Gruber have been married for six years.

Speaking recently about the prospect of fatherhood, the 'Desperate Housewives' star said: "It's one of those crazy things. I'm having the best time watching her body change. I'm paying attention to little kids now."
