Bono urges African leaders to end poverty
U2 frontman Bono is calling on African leaders to address the nation's spiralling food prices in a bid to tackle poverty.
Speaking at the fourth Tokyo International Conference on African Development in Japan this week, the Irish rocker compared Africa's plight to that of Ireland - 150 years after the country battled poverty.
He says: "Bad management is in my folk history and I think if we have to gather around this food crisis... we've got to get good management."
Bono spoke to more than 40 diplomats at the summit.
