Aguilera and son canvass votes

Christina Aguilera is doing her part to raise awareness about the forthcoming US presidential elections - she's appeared in a political campaign with her baby son.

The singer appears in an advert for 'Rock the Vote?' - a non-profit organisation aimed at encouraging youths to get involved in politics - ahead of the November elections.

She can be seen singing a lullaby of to her son Max.

And the star had no reservations about her five-month-old baby appearing in the campaign, insisting it's "inevitable that he will be subjected to some amount of press".

She adds: "This election in particular is such an exciting and historical one, and so I was proud to have my son and I stand together for such a powerful moment and message in time."
