Hollywood great Stewart remembered
Actor Jimmy Stewart is being remembered in his Pennsylvania hometown of Indiana on the centenary of his birth with events including a posthumous award to co-star Grace Kelly.
The man who starred in such American classic movies as 'The Philadelphia Story', 'It’s a Wonderful Life', 'Vertigo' and 'Mr Smith Goes to Washington' would have turned 100 today.
Centennial Festival Day on Saturday will centre around the Indiana County courthouse and Jimmy Stewart Museum.
The museum is the county’s main tourist attraction. Stewart, who died in 1997, was nominated for an Academy Award five times and won for 'The Philadelphia Story'.
