Spears family holds baby shower for Jamie Lynn

The Spears family put aside their recent troubles as they celebrated Jamie Lynn's blossoming mum-to-be status at a baby shower last weekend.

Elder sister Britney, who is currently embroiled in a custody battle for her own two sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline, turned up to support the 17-year-old, who is expecting her first child in July.

“It was wonderful to be able to spend time with her and just be girls again,” Jamie Lynn told OK! magazine.

“We painted our nails and did stupid stuff. To be able to be in the privacy of our own home and just be sisters again was wonderful.”

She also revealed that she got some parenting advice from her older sibling.

“She told me: 'There are going to be some long nights, but it is completely worth it',” Jamie Lynn said.
