'Street Kings' fails to engage

The usual plotline that involves Reeves, a not-by-the-book LA 'tec, investigating the murder of his partner and finding a lot of dirt in the department.

So far so good-ish, but even with the now customary dollops of violence and hectic action thrown in to satisfy today’s audiences the film doesn’t manage to engage us, nor does the acting … it’s all been done and seen too often before.
