Ill Dion cancels more Aussie gigs

Celine Dion has been forced to cancel a string of Australian concerts after suffering from further throat problems.

The 'My Heart Will Go On' star was ordered to postpone the Australian leg of her current world tour by concerned doctors, and has been advised to rest in order to protect her voice.

Earlier this month, the singer pulled out of gigs in Melbourne and Brisbane after contracting a minor throat infection and irritated sinuses.

But Dion has been forced to disappoint fans further by delaying her planned concerts in Sydney on March 28 and Perth on April 4.

The world tour is her first in a decade following her five-year stint at Las Vegas' Caesars Palace, which was brought to a spectacular close last year.

A representative for the star explains: "Her doctor has instructed her to rest for an additional 48 hours in order to be fully recovered."
