McDonagh brings us a class thriller set in Belgium and a cast that enjoys every minute of an enjoyable, dark, funny and clever crime caper.

Farrell and Gleeson play a couple of bunglers who are sent to Bruges to lie low after a job goes wrong … and for other reasons they’re not really aware of.

What happens to the lads forms the backbone of the tale, with lots more thrown in to keep it bubbling alone.

It fairly sizzles with entertainment thanks to sparkling writing and spot-on directing and acting.
