British rockers the Arctic Monkeys have emerged as the big winners at the 2008 NME Awards, scooping a total of three awards at Thursday's London ceremony.

The group were awarded gongs for British Band and for Best Track, 'Fluorescent Adolescent' and Best Video 'Teddy Picker', both of which are singles from their sophomore album 'Favourite Worst Nightmare'.
