Clooney denies 'ER' reunion

Hollywood heartthrob George Clooney has quashed rumours he is to return to US TV drama ER - branding speculation about a possible comeback a "myth".

Clooney shot to stardom playing Dr. Doug Ross on the hit NBC drama for five years from 1994. He went on to carve out a successful movie career, winning an Oscar for 2005 film Syriana.

However, despite the TV show's success, the award-winning actor denies any future plans to reprise his former role.

He says: "That's a myth I'm afraid."
