Chemistry is everything in this funny rom-com, and Pfeiffer and Rudd have it in spades as the mother who falls for a younger man while her daughter (Ronan) finds love for the first time.

A lot of similar films don’t quite engage us as they should or else end up as weak chick flicks, but here we have a story above the average, with Ullman, as the meddling Mother Nature, adding to its depth.
