McCartney denies romance with Arquette

Paul McCartney has played down speculation he is dating Hollywood actress Rosanna Arquette, insisting they are "just friends".

The former Beatle sparked rumours he was seeking comfort in the arms of the 'Pulp Fiction' star when they were photographed together in November last year.

Despite being spotted at dinner with the 48-year-old in London on Thursday evening, McCartney, 65, is adamant the pair are not romantically involved.

A spokesperson for McCartney said: "It's no big deal. They are just friends."
