Faithfull to attend Dublin Film Festival

Legendary singer and actress Marianne Faithfull returns to Dublin this month to attend the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival, it emerged today.

Legendary singer and actress Marianne Faithfull returns to Dublin this month to attend the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival, it emerged today.

The performer will be in the capital for the screening of 'Irina Palm' in which Faithfull stars as Maggie, a middle aged grandmother forced by desperation to become a hostess in a sex club.

She eventually finds her new role providing a form of salvation.

Irina Palm will be shown at The Screen Cinema on Tuesday, February 19.

Over 40,000 people are expected to attend the festival events, which includes the screening of more than 100 films from across the world.

The festival, which runs for 10 days, opens on February 15 with the highly anticipated feature from Martin McDonagh, 'In Bruges'.
