Trump criticises Spears' parents
Donald Trump has hit out at Britney Spears' parents, blaming them for their daughter's current troubles.
The singer was admitted to a Los Angeles hospital, where she is now classed as a "special needs" patient, on Friday following a stand-off with police at her Beverly Hills mansion when she refused to hand back her two boys to ex-husband Kevin Federline after a scheduled visit.
And Trump insists that Britney's parents, James and Lynne, must be held at least partially responsible for not just Spears' alleged mental breakdown, but for her 16-year-old sister Jamie Lynn's pregnancy as well.
Trump tells US news show Extra: "I don't know what's going on with that family. That family seems to be a mess. It's a shame.
"You always have to blame the parents, at least to a degree. But ultimately they're (Britney and Jamie Lynn) almost old enough to make a decision."
