Cert: 12

The chick-lit romantic novel written by Cecelia Ahern – who, not that it has anything to do with its publication, is Bertie’s daughter – has been moved to a Stateside setting but it still comes across as lightweight fluff.

The story involves grieving widow Swank’s discovery of letters left by husband Butler to help her get over the tragedy … what she finds in the letters takes us into an over-long film that doesn’t really have much to say.

Like all chick-lit it ticks the required boxes but still rises to the heights of a sheaf of A4. A great deal more development of plot might have helped.
