Troubled singer Amy Winehouse has a found an unlikely fan in Karl Lagerfeld - the fashion designer has likened the star to Brigitte Bardot and hailed her as a "style icon".

Lagerfeld admires the 'Rehab' hitmaker for her bold, beehived-shaped hairstyle, and even recreated the style on the models at his recent Chanel show in London.
