I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry

The consistently charmless Sandler has never shied away from gay jokes so he’s at it again in this con comedy about a couple of otherwise macho Brooklyn firemen who pretend to be gays – even going through a ‘marriage’ ceremony – in order to collect domestic partner benefits.

Now, you can either view the film as one sympathetic to gays or one simply poking fun at them … what you can’t do is find anything worthwhile in it.

A better screenwriter and more appealing leads might have turned things around but we are left with a film that has no wit or style and nothing of interest to say.
