A Star is Born

Young Saoirse Ronan has been grabbing rave reviews for her performance in director Joe Wright’s adaptation of writer Ian McEwan’s WW2 novel Atonement, starring Keira Knightley and James McAvoy.

Seems Saoirse has stolen the film from the big names as the youngest version – of three – of the Briony character. And there are additional plaudits for Irish cinematographer Seamus McGarvey.
