‘My Best Friend’ a witty excursion

Antique dealer Francois (Daniel Auteil) discovers friends are scarce at a dinner party in Patrice Leconte’s ‘My Best Friend’ (Optimum, €24.99).

He also discovers the truth about himself — not a very pleasant experience.

When wagered to reveal his best friend — the prize is a valuable vase — he sets out to discover the secrets of making friends.

A witty excursion ensues when cab driver Bruno (Danny Boon) embarks on the path to winning friends.
