Simpsons movie opens in Springfield, Tallaght

The long awaited Simpson's movie went on national release yesterday after it's Irish Premiere was held in Springfield, Tallaght following a campaign by local Fianna Fáil TD Charlie O'Connor to have the movie screened there.

The world premiere of the movie was held in Springfield, Vermont in the US after a nationwide competition for the honour to host it.

Fans of the Simpson's who saw the movie in Cineworld cinemas in Parnell Street in Dublin gave the thumbs up to it, and judging by the warm reception they gave, they movie could be number one quite quickly.
