Fionn Regan among Mercury nominees
Irish singer-songwriter Fionn Regan has been nominated for this year's prestigious Mercury Music Prize in Britain.
The Co Wicklow singer is in the running for his debut album The End of History.
Elsewhere, Sheffield group Arctic Monkeys, who won the prize last year, have been nominated again for their second album, Favourite Worst Nightmare.
2003 winner Dizzee Rascal is also among this year's nominees, as is former nominee Amy Winehouse.
The View, Maps, Bat For Lashes, Klaxons, Jamie T, The Young Knives, New Young Pony Club and Basquiat Strings with Seb Rochford make up the 12-strong list of contenders.
